What 𐄎 means
Eight — a value, not a letter. Aegean numbers were additive and base-ten: signs set side by side add together.
It served palace accounts — on clay tablets, sealings and ritual objects — in Linear A, Minoan Crete's undeciphered script, and later in Linear B, which wrote early Greek.
The value is eight either way; the surrounding signs say whose ledger you are reading.
Specialist and historical — Aegean scripts, not everyday arithmetic.
If it appears as a box, the font lacks this glyph.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𐄎 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
