What 𜰈 means

It marks the point where the circuit connects to an antenna.

A schematic is a simplified drawing of electrical components and their connections; the antenna sends or receives radio signals at that connection.

Where did this antenna character come from?

Its documented computer form is from the Sharp MZ-700's European display set.

The 2021 Unicode proposal traces it to slot B5 in the MZ-700's European alternate character table; the computer launched in 1982. The mark belonged to a set of schematic symbols designed to sit beside line-drawing characters, letting text make simple circuit diagrams. Unicode carried that on-screen glyph forward as a separate text character.

Why does 𜰈 show as a box on some devices?

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
