Vertical Resistor Segment

𜰊 is the upright piece of a resistor drawing for text-built circuits. It marks only part of the line art; light box-drawing lines complete the schematic.

What 𜰊 means

It marks the upright resistor piece in a text schematic.

A resistor limits current. Sharp MZ's Japanese primary character set placed it at byte EE; a character set is a computer's built-in roster of display marks. The MZ-80K, an early model, went on sale in 1978 with character graphics on its screen. Unicode's legacy-computing proposal groups it with schematic pieces designed to join light box-drawing lines—the thin strokes used to draw in text.
