What 𜰆 means

In JavaScript, write \u{1CC06}; in HTML, use 𜰆.

Java and JSON use the two-part UTF-16 escape \uD833\uDC06.

What does this line piece mean?

It is the upright right-edge stroke in a ruler-like graphic set.

The 1982 Sharp MZ-700 Japanese character table records it as display code E1, the value used to select a stored screen shape. A 2021 Unicode proposal grouped it with a lower horizontal piece and a lower-right corner as “ruler segments.” The proposers supplied descriptive names because old computer makers usually showed character charts without naming each shape. Fixed characters let text displays make simple graphics when computers could not address individual pixels.

Could an MZ-700 keyboard type it?

No; the MZ-700 BASIC keyboard could not enter this display-table character directly.

A program could show it by writing its display code to video memory.

Why does 𜰆 show as a box on some devices?

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
