What 𞸜 means
Dotless forms help distinguish math letters with similar Arabic shapes.
Several Arabic letters share a base and differ only by dots, so dotless forms reduce ambiguity in equations. The formula or local convention assigns this letter-shaped symbol its role; it is not a fixed operation.
Its letter tradition appears in Arabic manuscripts and print over centuries. A 2006 Unicode proposal described the signs as still handwritten or typewritten and cited the 1987 Amman convention for scientific symbols in Arabic. A 2006 W3C note documents regional differences: Maghreb and Mashreq styles can use different function letters and mathematical directions.
