Ordinary Arabic beh ب changes shape with neighbors; 𞸡 keeps its initial form. That initial style is encoded separately because mathematical styles can distinguish meanings.
2006 examples show Maghreb using beh, while Mashriq (eastern Arab lands) differs in some function and summation symbols. Unicode 18.0.0 says these forms appear in most math handbooks in West Asia, Libya and Algeria.
