What 𖧁 means
It is a Bamum letter from an earlier phase, not a complete word.
King Ibrahim Njoya and his scribes devised the Bamum script around 1896 for the Bamum language of western Cameroon. It began with signs for objects and actions, then developed through successive phases into Phase G, a syllabary whose characters represent syllables.
“Nzuq” is a scholarly transcription label, not a translation. Bamum manuscripts include histories, medicine texts, maps, letters, and illustrated folktales. Unicode 18.0 (2026) describes these characters as archaic and mainly used by specialist linguists and historians.
