What 𑄠 means
A bare consonant carries a built-in long vowel. Chakma writing gives consonants a long “a” by default. A vowel sign can change it; the vowel-suppressing sign maayyaa removes it.
Where does the Chakma script come from?
It descends from the Brahmi tradition of South Asia. The Chakma script is also called Ajhā pāṭh. In 2009, Chakma letterforms showed regional variation between India and Bangladesh; a different outline in a font does not by itself mean a different letter.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𑄠 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
