What ꮅ means
It represents a complete Cherokee syllable.
Cherokee is an Iroquoian language. Sequoyah developed its syllabary in 1815–1821; early experiments appear in Red Bird River Shelter engravings. The script moved from handwriting into legal documents, bilingual newspapers, schools, public signs, and digital type. Older Cherokee writing used one cap-height set; Unicode added lowercase forms in Version 8.0 so software could distinguish letter case.

Questions people ask
1Why does ꮅ show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Cherokee Supplement block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
