What 𡷤 means
It is a compatibility form of 𡷤, a rare Chinese character.
The Song-era dictionary Jiyun records 𡷤 as a variant of 峿. 峿 names a mountain in Shandong; in 岨峿 it describes uneven slopes or unease.
Why does 𡷤 normalize to 𡷤?
Unicode maps it to 𡷤. Its source is T6-304E, a variant entry in plane 6 of Taiwan’s CNS 11643-1992 set. Unicode kept a separate code for round-trip conversion.
Unicode defines 𡷤 + U+FE00 as the standardized sequence that preserves this variant during normalization.
