What 摩 means
It represents 摩, not a separate word. In Mandarin, 摩 is pronounced mó; 摩擦 means “friction.” Classical Chinese sources also use the character for touching and for learning through observation.
The Shuowen Jiezi, an Eastern Han Chinese character dictionary, glosses 摩 as “to grind.” Unicode reserves this compatibility codepoint for round-trip conversion with CNS 11643-1992, a Chinese character encoding standard.

Questions people ask
1Why does 摩 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the CJK Compatibility Ideographs Supplement block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
