What 𣚣 means
Read it as the rare agricultural form of 耕: “to plow.”
Taiwan’s Ministry of Education dictionary of character variants lists the corresponding form 𣚣 as a variant of 耕. The Chinese classic Lüshi Chunqiu uses 𣚣 in a passage about rising early to work the fields; the book was compiled around 239 BCE. For ordinary modern text, use 耕. This code point preserves an entry from Taiwan’s CNS 11643, a national standard for exchanging Chinese text.
Why does 𣚣 become 𣚣?
Unicode normalization maps it to 𣚣.
NFC, NFD, NFKC, and NFKD all replace 𣚣 with 𣚣, so this separate code point is not stable under normalization. Unicode defines 𣚣 followed by UFE00 as a standardized variation sequence for requesting this particular glyph.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𣚣 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the CJK Compatibility Ideographs Supplement block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
