What 𣢧 means
A legacy character-encoding form.
CNS 11643-1992 is Taiwan’s Chinese character standard. The Supplement lets its text convert to Unicode and back without losing this character code.
Why does 𣢧 map to 𣢧?
The old compatibility mapping remains.
A 2019 Taiwan proposal cited a regional Chinese dictionary as evidence that this was a distinct character. The Taiwan source reference moved to 䶾 ; Unicode 18.0 still maps 𣢧 to 𣢧.
The sequence 𣢧︀ (U238A7 UFE00) uses an invisible variation selector to request the compatibility glyph shape. Canonical normalization, a rule for equivalent Unicode text, rewrites 𣢧 as 𣢧; preserve the original code point in archives.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𣢧 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
