What 𥁄 means
It is the Unicode form of 𥁄, a historical variant of 盂.
In Mandarin, 盂 (yú) means a bowl or basin. Shuowen Jiezi calls it a food vessel; Jiyun, a rhyme dictionary, records 𥁄 as its variant, notes 盌 as a regional name in Song-Chu, and lists surname and troop-formation senses for 盂.
Why does 𥁄 change into 𥁄?
Because Unicode treats them as canonically equivalent.
Unicode normalization is a standard text-cleanup step that can replace 𥁄 with 𥁄. Keep the original code point if its separate identity must survive processing.
That extra entry lets text in Taiwan’s CNS 11643-1992 standard convert into Unicode and back without losing its original character entry.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𥁄 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the CJK Compatibility Ideographs Supplement block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
