What 𥄙 means
It preserves the old written form of 視, “to see.”
The Shuowen Jiezi, an early Chinese dictionary, identifies 𥄙 as an ancient form of 視. Taiwan’s CNS 11643-1992 standard kept a separate character position for a source form that Unicode links to 𥄚; 𥄙 carries that source distinction while its canonical counterpart is 𥄙.
Why does 𥄙 change shape?
Text normalization can merge it with its base character.
Unicode maps 𥄙 canonically to 𥄙. A text-cleanup step called normalization may replace it with 𥄙, discarding the source-specific distinction.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𥄙 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the CJK Compatibility Ideographs Supplement block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.

fsymbols draws rare signs with its own fonts, so they show here even where your device has none. An app or website without such a font shows an empty box (□) or a question mark instead. Turn our fonts off to see each sign as your device draws it by itself: a box here means a box in your chats and documents too.
