What 䳸 means
It encodes the Han character 䳸. Chinese dictionaries gloss 䳸 as a wild goose or sparrow.
Its source is Taiwan's CNS 11643-1992 character-encoding standard: T5-7536 places it in plane 5. Unicode kept that mapping for round-trip conversion; the separate code adds an encoding role, not a new bird meaning.
Will Unicode normalization change 䳸?
Yes; every normalization form maps it to 䳸. NFC, NFD, NFKC, and NFKD all replace this separate code with the base character.
For the variant glyph, Unicode lists 䳸︀ (䳸 followed by UFE00); a font and app must support the sequence to display it.

1Questions people ask
1Why does 䳸 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the CJK Compatibility Ideographs Supplement block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
