What 𡰓 means
Read it through 𡰌. The 1716 Kangxi Dictionary cites Pianhai Leibi with the note “same as 𡰌.”
The 997 Longkan Shoujian, a Buddhist reference dictionary for reading scriptures, glosses 𡰌 as “high-looking.” Zhengzitong rejects that gloss and links the form to 僂: a bent back or a forward lean showing respect. For 𡰓, the bent-back reading has firmer support.
