What 𢇺 means
An old form of 扃 for a wooden door bar. The Han-dynasty dictionary Shuowen Jiezi defines 扃 as a wooden bar that fastens a door from outside. The Song-era Jiyun, a dictionary arranged by sound, records 𢇺 as an old form of 扃. In classical Chinese, 扃 could also mean “door” or “to bolt shut,” extending from the bar to what it secures and the action it performs.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𢇺 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
