What 𢨡 means
The related form 𧒎 carries the history.
《說文解字》, a Chinese character dictionary compiled around 100 CE, defines 𧒎 as the flying insect that comes from a silkworm.
It analyzes that form as 䖵 (“insects”) plus 我 used as a sound cue.
Can 蛾 mean something besides “moth”?
Yes: dictionaries also record an “ant” reading.
That reading is yǐ; the moth reading is é. Context decides which sense is intended.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𢨡 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the CJK Unified Ideographs Extension B block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
