What 𢴡 means
The Kangxi Dictionary (1716) calls 𢴡 an old form of 牽. Taiwan's Ministry of Education variant dictionary links it to 摼 and 掔, citing the Song dictionary Le Pian (1066). The Eastern Han dictionary Shuowen Jiezi glosses 牽 as “lead forward” and says its form depicts a rope used to lead an ox; later glosses add pulling, connection, and restraint. 摼 also has a “strike a bell” reading.
