What 𢴫 means
𢴫 is a variant of 擸; read it in context. In Mandarin, 擸 is read liè or là. The Shuowen Jiezi, an Eastern Han dictionary of Chinese characters, glosses it as 理持也, “to arrange and hold.”
Later works add “to hold” in the Guangya, a gloss dictionary; “to break” for là in the Guangyun, a pronunciation dictionary; and a breaking sound in the Zihui. In 1716, the Kangxi Zidian, a Chinese character dictionary, records 𢴫 as a variant of 擸.
