What 𢴹 means

No; it is recorded as a variant of 捶. Taiwan’s Ministry of Education included 𢴹 under 捶 in its 2024 character-variant dictionary. The 1716 Kangxi Dictionary calls 𢴹 the original form of 捶.

An early Chinese character dictionary, Shuowen Jiezi, defines 捶 as striking with a staff. The Book of Rites uses it for pounding dried meat before eating.
