What 𢸉 means
It means “pick up” or “grasp by hand.” In Mandarin, 摣 is read zhā.
The Han-era Shuowen Jiezi, a dictionary of Chinese characters, glosses 抯 as “scoop up.” The Han-era Fangyan, a dictionary of regional words, links it to 摣 and says people in southern Chu used the word for retrieving objects from mud.
Pianhai (篇海), an older character dictionary, glosses 𢸉 as “take by hand.” The Kangxi Dictionary (1716) calls it a mistaken form of 摣; Taiwan’s Ministry of Education lists it in its 2024 variant-character dictionary under 摣.

1Why does 𢸉 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the CJK Unified Ideographs Extension B block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
