What 𢾊 means
It is listed as another written form of the same impact word.
By 100 CE, the Shuowen Jiezi, an early Chinese character dictionary, records 朾 with the gloss “to strike.” A commentary on the entry explains the action as hitting one thing so another comes out.
The Kangxi Dictionary cites Guangyun and Jiyun, Song-era books that group characters by sound, for 𢾊’s matching “strike; touch” sense.
Does 朾 still have a regional use?
Yes, in some Southwest Mandarin dialects.
A 2021 Fudan University study reports that 朾 can name an object knocked out by a blow. This is the impact’s result, not simply the motion of hitting.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𢾊 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the CJK Unified Ideographs Extension B block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
