What 𣂰 means
It is a rare form of 鼎, the ancient tripod pot.
A Chinese dictionary from the Liao dynasty, dated 997, records 𣂰 as a form of 鼎. The standard character pictures the pot; Shang divination marks on bone and shell and Western Zhou bronze inscriptions preserve its shape.
The vessel began as a practical ceramic pot. In Shang and Zhou rites, bronze ding held food offerings for ancestors and came to represent political power.
Why does 𣂰 appear as a box?
Your font or app may lack its glyph.
As of 2026, an unsupported character may appear as a box, question mark, or blank. 𣂰 is in Extension B, a supplementary range containing many rare or historical ideographs; this changes the display, not the character.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𣂰 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
