What 𣩉 means
It meant “to die,” and it could also mean “to kill.”
The Shuowen Jiezi, an early Chinese character dictionary, records 𣩉 as an ancient form of 殪, built from an older graph for 死 (“death”). In Mandarin, 殪 is pronounced yì. Classical passages also use 殪 for killing a target or bringing down an enemy; 𣩉 writes that same death-related word in an older form.

1Why does 𣩉 sometimes show as a box?
Your font or app may lack the glyph. Unicode 16.0 describes Extension B as rare and historic; a missing-glyph box can hide 𣩉 even when the text is still present. Try a font with broader Han coverage.
