What 𣸫 means
Read it as 灅 when it names the Leishui River.
The Han-era dictionary Shuowen Jiezi, an early guide to Chinese characters, describes 灅水 as rising near Junmi, a county in the old Youbeiping region, and flowing southeast into the Geng River. Later geography identifies it with the Shahe near present-day Zunhua. Unicode’s source record for this exact glyph points to the Qing-era Siku Quanshu, a collection of Chinese books.

1Why does 𣸫 show as a box on some devices?
