What 𥊵 means
Read it as 曃 in the phrase 曖曃: “dim and unclear.”
The Yu Pian (玉篇), a Chinese character dictionary, explains 曃 through 曖曃 as a not-bright, indistinct condition. “Far Roaming” (遠遊), a poem in the anthology Chu Ci (楚辭), uses the phrase for a shadowy, vast scene.
A note in the Kangxi Dictionary (康熙字典), another Chinese character reference, explains the written form: the sun component 日 was mistakenly written as the eye component 目. The eye shape does not add an eye-related meaning.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𥊵 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the CJK Unified Ideographs Extension B block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
