As of 2026, Word for Windows accepts 26D2C followed by AltX; if another hexadecimal digit touches the code, select just the code first. In GNOME, press CtrlShiftU, type 26D2C, then press Enter. macOS’s Unicode Hex Input accepts only four hex digits, so it cannot enter this character.
What does 𦴬 mean?
It is a written variant of 卉, a character for vegetation.
Taiwan’s Ministry of Education records this exact glyph as a variant of 卉 and gives its Mandarin reading as huì. The dictionary explains that 𦴬 expands the older form 芔 with a grass component, reflecting 卉’s plant meaning.
Forms of 卉 are attested in the Warring States period (475–221 BCE). A Han dynasty Chinese character dictionary, Shuowen Jiezi, records 芔 as the general name for grasses. Song-era poetry also uses 卉 specifically for flowers.
