𧇶

cjk unified ideograph-271f6

Chūn flag character

29175/42720

𧇶 is a specialized character recorded among the specially devised signs on flags of the Sanhehui (Triad Society) in Qing-dynasty China. A 1917 collection of Qing-era accounts, Qing bai lei chao, says these signs distinguished five divisions of the society. A Chinese dictionary reads it chūn and links it to 春 (“spring”), but that reading alone does not tell you the exact message intended by the flag.

Why does 𧇶 show as a box on some devices?

Not every system ships a font for the CJK Unified Ideographs Extension B block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
