What 𧓒 means
It is an older written form of the Chinese word for earthworm.
The Shuowen Jiezi, an early Chinese character dictionary, describes 螾 as an earthworm that moves sideways. A character-variant dictionary identifies 蚓 as the regular form and 螾 as its older form; 引 is the right-hand component in 蚓.
The Kangxi Dictionary records 𧓒 as an original form of 螾, and variant references group 𧓒, 螾, and 蚓 as written forms of the same earthworm word. This documented relationship does not make the forms interchangeable in ordinary writing.
What does it mean when someone sends 𧓒?
Read it as a character reference unless nearby words say otherwise.
A standalone 𧓒 is best treated as a reference to the character or a historical text. If the writer simply means “earthworm,” 蚓 is the familiar regular form.
A marked, dictionary-like variant; 蚓 is the regular form for routine Chinese writing.
