What 𧻾 means

Its wording is linked to the Book of Changes. The Shuowen Jiezi, a Chinese character dictionary, defines 趑趄 as movement that does not advance; a commentary on its entry connects the phrase to 次且. From the Yuan dynasty onward, Chinese writing also uses 趄 for leaning or an unsteady step.

1

Why does 𧻾 show as a box on some devices?

Not every system ships a font for the CJK Unified Ideographs Extension B block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
