What 𨣛 means
Read it as “taste” or “sample.”
Taiwan’s Ministry of Education variant dictionary lists 𨣛 under 嘗 but also recognizes it as a 正字, a standard character in its own right; it cites 重訂直音篇, a historical character dictionary.
The early dictionary 說文解字 glosses 嘗 as tasting by mouth. Later senses include “try,” “experience,” and “once.”

1Why does 𨣛 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
