What 𨳚 means
Different historical dictionaries preserve separate entries. The Kangxi dictionary links it to 𩰟, whose older gloss describes things bound together and pulling against one another in a fight. Another entry gives “door leaf,” the panel that swings across a doorway, and points to 䦏 and 𨳜. The surrounding text or the dictionary entry helps identify the intended sense.
Why might 𨳚 show as an empty box?
The active font may not contain its glyph. Taiwan’s CNS 11643 catalog displays 𨳚 in several fonts and says Windows 10 and later include it by default; as checked in 2026, the same page also offers a Windows font package.

1Why does 𨳚 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
