What 𨽭 means
It is a variant of 陰, pronounced yīn in Mandarin.
The standard character 陰 means shade or darkness. In classical Chinese, it could also describe a mountain's north side or a river's south bank—the shadier side. In yin-yang thought, 陰 names yin, one of two complementary aspects used to describe the world.
Where is 𨽭 recorded?
A list of “Old forms” in 乾坤鑿度 records 𨽭 as 陰.
乾坤鑿度 is a text on the Yijing, or Book of Changes. In its section 古文略 (“Old forms”), 𨽭 is labeled 陰 and the paired form 𨼡 is labeled 陽. The passage records the pair in that textual tradition.
