What 𩏁 means
It names an archer’s thumb guard. Worn on the thumb, the ring caught and drew the bowstring. An old character dictionary, 龍龕手鑑 (Longkan Shoujian), identifies 𩏁 as the same character as 韘 (pronounced shè in Mandarin), the form used in the Classic of Poetry, an early Chinese poetry collection. Its line “童子佩韘” (“a youth wears a thumb guard”) links the ring with the ability to shoot.
A jade thumb guard excavated from Fu Hao’s tomb at Yinxu is among the earliest known examples; the tomb dates to the Shang dynasty. The tool later became a decorative ring. In the Qing dynasty, court culture linked thumb rings with archery and martial virtue.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𩏁 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
