What 𩴂 means
It appears in an old Chinese owl name. The Ming-era Compendium of Materia Medica, a Chinese book on medicine and nature, quotes Tang author Chen Cangqi: people in the Wu region of China called an owl 𩴂魂. Li Shizhen links it to ill omen, notes the wording 逐魂 (“chasing souls”) in a medical text, and says rhyme books did not settle 𩴂's reading. Read it within the full phrase.
