What 𩴬 means
It represents the Vietnamese word vía. Here, vía means a person’s spirit; sợ mất vía describes being frightened out of your wits.
Chữ Nôm adapted Chinese characters and their parts to write Vietnamese words. Scholars developed it after Vietnam’s independence in 939; it carried Vietnamese literature and other writing from the 10th through the 20th centuries.
