What 𩺥 means
It is a Vietnamese writing system built by adapting Chinese characters. Chữ Nôm developed around the 10th century to represent Vietnamese speech; this glyph is one recorded spelling of sò.
In premodern Vietnam, Chữ Nôm was especially used for verse: reading poems aloud helped written texts circulate beyond oral tradition alone. Its translations and annotations of Classical Chinese works also helped shape Vietnamese prose. Other recorded characters for sò include 𧎷 and 𧒌. In modern Vietnamese, the word is written sò in Quốc ngữ, the Latin-based alphabet.

1Why does 𩺥 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
