What 𩿢 means
Chinese sources record a bird-name with later, more specific glosses.
The Shuowen Jiezi, a Chinese character dictionary completed before 100 CE, glosses 𩿢 simply as “bird.” It treats 鳥 as the meaning component and 主 as its sound component.
The Kangxi Dictionary (1716) describes a black bird resembling a duck; other old Chinese dictionaries call it a water bird.
Chinese dictionaries list Mandarin tǒu; Japanese references also preserve くろとり (“black bird”). If the glyph appears as a box, the font may lack it.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𩿢 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
