What 𪀊 means
Use a Unicode input method that accepts five-digit codes.
In 2026, macOS Unicode Hex Input accepts only four hexadecimal digits, while 𪀊's code has five. This limit belongs to that input source, not to the character.
What does 𪀊 mean?
It is a written variant of 鴝.
The oldest dictionary source listed for this spelling is the Qing-dynasty supplement Zihui bu (字彙補), published in 1666. 鴝 appears in 鴝鵒, a Chinese name for the myna.
A note in the Kangxi Dictionary cites 𪀊掇, an insect-name in the classical Chinese text Liezi. The Zhuangzi chapter “Perfect Enjoyment” writes 鴝掇 for the same creature in a transformation story where it becomes a bird.
