What 𪄵 means
An old Chinese character for an owl, read jì in Mandarin. Chinese character dictionaries link 𪄵 to 鵋. This form combines 鳥, the bird component, with 旣 as a sound cue. The related name 鵋鶀 appears in the Erya dictionary; fourth-century commentator Guo Pu says people east of the Yangtze used it for a small owl.
In a Northern Song commentary, Lu Dian treats the owl's call as a warning of coming trouble. That is his literary reading of the bird, alongside its plain dictionary meaning.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𪄵 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the CJK Unified Ideographs Extension B block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
