What 𪄽 means
Old dictionaries give it both egg and nestling readings.
The Song dynasty’s Jiyun, a dictionary organized by rhyme, glosses it as “bird egg.” The Kangxi Dictionary cites it in a Tang dynasty poem by Han Yu, in a list of food.
Taiwan’s Ministry of Education’s 2024 Dictionary of Chinese Character Variants lists it under 鷇, a nestling fed in its nest, and 㲉, “bird egg” or “eggshell.”

1Why does 𪄽 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
