What 𪊯 means
It is a rare form of 牝, meaning a female animal.
Shuowen Jiezi, a Chinese character dictionary completed in 100 CE, defines 牝 as female livestock and cites the divination classic Book of Changes. A Jin-era sound dictionary, Sisheng Pianhai, records 𪊯; the 1666 supplement Zihui Bu says it shares 牝’s sound and meaning. In Mandarin, 牝 is read pìn.
Its deer element may point to a female deer, but dictionaries leave that narrower meaning uncertain.
Use 牝 as the standard form; 𪊯 is its rare historical variant.
The deer element alone does not prove a female-deer-only meaning.
