What 𪌚 means
It is recorded as a mistaken form of 麰. The Kangxi Dictionary quotes an earlier supplement to a Chinese character dictionary, which gives 𪌚 the Mandarin reading móu and the gloss “wheat”; its editors then call it a corruption of 麰.
麰 is an old Chinese character for barley. Dictionaries also list 𪍓 as a form of 麰. Use 麰 when you mean the grain.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𪌚 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
