What 𪍿 means
It names a barley variety in historical Chinese.
An early line in the Chinese text Jiaoshi Yilin has 𪍿麦; its traditional Han-period attribution is disputed. The farming manual Qimin yaoshu (completed between 533 and 544) includes it in agricultural vocabulary; the Yupian dictionary tradition dates to around 543. Buddhist texts use it in grain measures or offerings. Related 䵃 has glosses for barley bran or ferment dust, so context guides translation.
Historical and source-preserving; it marks a spelling retained from an older text.
For everyday Chinese, use 大麦 for barley.
