What 𪑛 means
It is an older spelling of the same word for mildew.
The word is older than this particular spelling. Shuowen Jiezi, an early Chinese character dictionary from the Eastern Han (around 100 CE), defines 黴 as things turning blue-black after prolonged rain. Later classical texts also use it for a darkened face. Jiyun, a later Chinese dictionary arranged by sound (around 1037), records 𪑛 as an old alternate written form.
A rare, dictionary-listed historical spelling; using it in everyday Chinese text looks unusual.
A blank box can mean the chosen font lacks this glyph; it does not change the character in the text.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𪑛 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
