What 𪮴 means
It writes the Vietnamese verb giũ: shake dust or water off.
Is 𪮴 a Chinese or Vietnamese character?
It is a Vietnamese Nôm form built on Chinese-character writing.
Chữ Nôm adapted Chinese characters and their parts to write Vietnamese words. Its early history is difficult to date: a 1978 review says a reported inscription from 1313 could not later be located, and cites early steles including one dated 1173.
Nôm later appeared in longer literary and scholarly writing. The early modern Sino-Vietnamese dictionary Chỉ Nam Ngọc Âm Giải Nghĩa includes a Vietnamese preface written in Nôm.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𪮴 show as a box?
The selected font may not include this glyph. 𪮴 is in CJK Unified Ideographs Extension C, and a font can support common Chinese characters while missing characters in this supplementary block. The box signals missing font coverage; it does not change the text.
