What 𪲨 means
Its dictionary trail changes with the language.
Chinese dictionaries list 𪲨 as a variant of 楤. Read sǒng, 楤 names Chinese aralia, a thorny shrub or small tree; read cōng, it means a pointed pole used to carry bundles of firewood. The Guangyun, a Song-era Chinese rhyme dictionary, records the pole sense; the Ming-era agricultural treatise Nongzheng Quanshu describes a 楤担 for carrying grain and firewood.
Japanese character data separately records かき (kaki) for 𪲨. A Chinese Unicode proposal in 2020 lists it among source glyphs for technical-literature characters. For a particular passage, follow its language and surrounding words instead of assuming one reading travels across both traditions.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𪲨 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the CJK Unified Ideographs Extension C block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
