What 𪷣 means
The link is possible, but not certain. A Chinese character index lists 𪷣 with the Mandarin reading pì and marks it as possibly equivalent to 㵨.
The Han-era regional dictionary 方言 (Fangyan, “Regional Words”) records 㵨 for an islet people could inhabit within a river in Shu, the historic region around present-day Sichuan. The Kangxi Dictionary (1716) preserves this regional sense and adds a second one: a stream dividing into branches.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𪷣 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
